Michael and Robin teamed up out of a need to give some funny characters a reason to co-exist together.

Michael has spent over 30 years in the entertainment industry, producing more TV and films than anyone should while maintaining an impressive coffee habit. As a creator, and producer, he’s brought over 900 episodes of television and seven feature films to life while heading up studios in Canada, Germany, and Australia. A graduate of Sheridan College’s iconic Animation Program, Michael founded Phoenix Animation Studios, which later joined the Thomas the Tank Engine company before being rolled into HIT Entertainment.
When he’s not shaping the future of animation as President and Chief Creative Officer at Vancouver’s Mainframe Studios, Michael is busy dreaming up new ways to turn life’s quirks into comedy gold. He’s the perfect mix of creativity and strategy, turning everyday chaos into relatable, laugh-out-loud stories like BEACHED SIDE, ROADKILL, and FUNNY FARM. If it’s quirky and a little ridiculous, Michael’s already on it.
When he’s not spinning up his next big idea, you’ll find him sipping coffee, wrangling farm animals, and wondering how he got here. At Pop Weasel, Michael is the mastermind behind the mayhem, one punchline at a time.

Robin is a cartoonist who knows how to get straight to the punch(line). The creator of Wordy Art, Robin has a knack for turning life’s awkward, hilarious, and oh-so-relatable moments into laugh-out-loud greeting cards and comics. His signature style? Endearingly offbeat characters paired with humour that’s equal parts clever and cheeky.
Before Pop Weasel Studios, Robin was busy perfecting his craft, whether that was performing stand-up in New York and Toronto, co-founding a comedy show that packed the house, or doodling comic ideas on cocktail napkins between sets. (Pro tip: always keep a pen handy.) A graduate of Vancouver Film School and an alum of The Second City T.C. in Toronto, Robin’s comedy chops run deep, blending improv, storytelling, and a love for the absurd.
Robin’s work spans relatable humour about animals, food, and the occasional human foible. Always caffeinated Robin is the visual engine behind the hilarity at Pop Weasel.
